Why Open Electives Management System (OEMS)?

As per the New Education Policy (NEP), there are open elective subjects for the courses / programmes. Student has to select one subject from the elective subjects but not the subject of their own department. If we ask them to choose the subject manually, some students may opt the same subject and it may exceed the intake. It is a sensitive matter, so it has to be handled carefully.
